Art in Music and Music in Art

There is a crap load of Art in Music. Some is inspiration, to album covers to music videos to even the overall style of the Band itself.
And there is music in Art, I actually use it for inspiration for some of my artwork. And I can't be the only one.

Should Traditional Art be replaces by digital art medias?

It doesnt matter to me. I dont think it should actually be replaced but redefine with digital media but keep the traditional in its place. It could appeal to different kinds of critics who appreciate digital work more than the traditional and find it interesting that we can create it.

Beauty

Beauty depends on the person who is descibing it. What is beautiful to me is Creativity. How someone puts themselves into who they are or what they do. It could be different to someone else.

Art Review: American Idiot Broadway

Last weekend I saw Green Day's American Idiot Broadway. And Holy Crap it was so good.

Even the art in it was great. They used one set for the whole show, and there was a crap-load of T.Vs that would show different sayings or TV clips and stuff. And there was newspaper and graffitti all over the walls.

Donatella Versace turned the luxury dial to full throttle Monday, sending out glamorous gladiators dripping with gold and lace as the Italian designer made her comeback to the haute couture club.
The Versace Atelier line was the house's first couture collection following an eight-year hiatus, kicking off three days of spring-summer shows in Paris headlined by such names as Chanel, Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier and Givenchy.
"She's a very glamorous warrior," the tanned, platinum blonde designer told AFP backstage after the show, staged Monday morning on a gold-coloured podium under the frescoes of the historic Beaux Arts school on the banks of the Seine.

Free Review: The Kids from Yesterday

My Chemical Romance came out with a new video to a track on their new album "The Kids From Yesterday", inspired by one of their fans who had made a perfect video trying to do what they were attempting to accomplish.

It was a video and photo collage of Shows and Things they have done to inspire fans everywhere throughout the 10 years they have been a band.

It showed videos of them live, recording, messing around, and some of the struggles they have gone through (Mainly the lead singer) When they first became a band.

In the end, it showed them being theirselves, becoming fabulous and  playing for Arenas full of adoring fans.

After the video, it shows Words they have told fans many times.

"Art is the Weapon, Your imagination is the Ammunition.
Stay dirty and Stay Dangerous.
Create and destroy as you see fit."

Its a great video. It is the last Single off the album "Danger Days: The true lives of the Fabulous Killjoys" I believe its a great end to the album, and for now, The Fabulous Killjoys.

Art in the news

Following in the footsteps of the Missoni for Target collection is a daunting task, but if there’s any designer up to the challenge, it’s Jason Wu. Next month, he debuts his 53-piece “gamine chic” collection for the retailer, a very tightly edited collection (and one not part of Target’s new designer program it is unveiling this week) by comparison to Missoni’s, which had upward of 400 items. “I felt it was much more me to go capsule and intricate,” Wu tells Style.com. “To go after something as big and successful as Missoni, I knew I had to come up with a different way to work with Target.”
